Steady footsteps tapped against the polished marble floors of the Serian castle, dark wood arches and natural light filling the long hallway with warm atmosphere.
“We'll be together forever, right?”
“Yeah! The three of us, always!”
When was the last time he had seen the sun? The green haired man paused and gazed out the window silently, feeling the warmth of the real sun upon his face.
“You're leaving?”
“Just for a little while; I want to complete my training with the brotherhood. I'll be back.”
His heart beat hard despite the dark blight that claimed most of his body, hidden beneath the

The teddybear that thought
Once upon a time there was a teddy bear, his coat of fur white with a black nose and vibrant green eyes; around his neck a pleasant little bow was adorned of a complementing red. He was different from the other bears. Unlike the lifeless toys that surrounded him, their bead eyes staring into nothing, he saw, he heard, and he thought. He didn't know this, though. He could not move, nor could he speak. He could only watch and hope that one day he would be taken by one of the tiny people, who all seemed so happy to hold his brothers in their arms.
One day that day came, and he was plucked from the shelf and into the arms of a tiny person with s

Cloaked red and gold stepped along the hallway, the sound of crunching glass under his metallic feet drowned out by the blare of the alarms, signaling to the present attendants that something was amiss.
He didn't care; why should he? He was the fastest, he was the strongest. He ducked his head slightly as he stepped through a doorway and stepped into the main chamber that held the object he was after.
Or more specifically, the robot he was sent after. He looked down at the robot laying on the table, wires and meters attached to her head, arms, and legs. Machines bleeping around her as they took measurements and read what her mechanical brai
It was a Light family day out, and due to the sheer number of them, they had all agreed to do an anonymous ballot as to what they'd be doing that day. Out of the nineteen of them; the ten generation ones, the eight gen nines, and Dr. Light all put in their vote in a hat. Much to the chagrin of a few of the bots, the overall agreement was the beach.
It wasn't really that bad, those who couldn't handle the water had plenty to do on the sand, volleyball, sand castles, or in Cutman and Oilman's case; get Gutsman to dig two trenches and start hurling mud balls at each other. Jewelman had been unlucky enough to land in the crossfire and was now in

I remember the day Eric and I met her.
We had already been part of The Wasteland for almost twenty years, at least as far as I could tell. They days seem to run the same as those back home, but I could be wrong; everything is so similar, yet so alien. This was the place my brother and I were forced to call home, a barren wasteland of lost people and objects. I again found myself wondering: what did Eric and I count as, people or objects? It really depends on who you asked, I suppose. Some think robots like us are tools and property while others thought us as people and treated us accordingly.
"Big brother? It's getting
I am me. And he is him.
But I am him and he is me.
We stand together, but we stand apart.
One being in two parts.
Born alone, but in a crowded room.
We had no one but ourselves.
No parents, no friends.
Just staring eyes that judged.
Menial tasks that held no purpose.
Pointless exercises that built no muscle.
A period of time that slowed to a crawl;
we had nothing to do with it.
Malfunctioning and breaking
they refused to save us.
Like so much waste were we;
thrown out like last year's model.
Shattered and dying, we were alone
until the light came and guided the way.
As we looked to him with confused eyes;
he took our hands
